What are the different investment options?

We are constantly looking for the best investment options in India. We are either looking for long or short term investment options during our working periods and that is when we think of mutual fund investments.

It is pretty much equivalent to investing as a group of people in various investments. It has various benefits over both the short and long term and gives you tax benefits as well. One has to keep in mind though that these investments are based on market conditions and not always would you be able to gauge the returns from day one.

In comparison, public provident fund is a good bet too, but the lock in periods is tremendously long.Mutual funds India has a shorter lock in periods and hence is a preferred choice amongst many. An ELSS would be a great idea too as you would be able to get the same exposure to equity but get the advantage of tax benefits too. These are lesser in risk and give you a 3 year lock in period.

The basics of such investments are on the market timing and the type of investment you are looking at. Most of the time, you get a healthy percentage as return but you need a strong mutual fund guide with you. It is always advisable to have a financial expert that understands the mutual fund basics and can inform you about the current market conditions and the future predictions. While all investments do come with a certain amount of risk, you can minimise them by understanding the market conditions better.
